AI Documentary Generation Guide — FAQ
Everything you need to know about creating documentaries with DocuViralPro.
Ownership, Accuracy & Quality
What is DocuViralPro?
DocuViralPro is an AI documentary maker that turns any topic into a fully narrated, fact-grounded documentary video — with a researched script, professional AI voiceover, topic-matched storyboard visuals, a thumbnail, and a complete YouTube SEO pack — built for faceless YouTube channels.
Do I own the videos I generate?
Yes. The documentaries you create with DocuViralPro are yours to download, upload to YouTube, monetize, and edit however you like. DocuViralPro claims no ownership of your generated content, and you can delete any video from your library at any time.
How is the script fact-grounded?
Every script is researched against live web sources before it is written, and the references it draws on are listed in a resources panel on your video so you can verify any claim before publishing. The creative 'Anything' genre intentionally skips these fact guardrails for pure fiction and freeform scripts.
Will the video look AI-generated?
DocuViralPro produces narrated slideshow documentaries — a professional voiceover over cinematic, topic-matched storyboard images with background music and subtle Ken Burns motion. There is no talking-head avatar or robotic overlay, so the result reads as an edited documentary rather than an obvious AI render.
Can I edit the script before it is narrated?
Yes. The built-in Script Editor (Starter plan and above) lets you write or rewrite any part of the script, or generate an AI draft and refine it. The narrator reads exactly what you write, word for word, with a live duration estimate as you type and a warning as you approach your plan's length limit.
Can I publish straight to YouTube?
Every video comes with a complete SEO pack — an optimized title, a hashtagged description, and comma-separated tags. One click opens YouTube Studio with that metadata ready to paste, and the exported MP4 is in YouTube's preferred H.264/AAC format, ready to upload directly.
How long can the documentaries be?
From 1-minute shorts up to 60-minute long-form documentaries, depending on your plan: Free up to 5 minutes per video, Starter up to 10, Silver up to 20, Gold up to 30, and Platinum up to 60 minutes per video.
How many free trial minutes do I get?
The Free plan includes a one-time 5-minute trial generation so you can experience the full pipeline — script, narration, storyboard visuals, and SEO pack — before upgrading. Free videos are limited to 5 minutes each and play as a watermarked preview; exporting the finished MP4 is available on any paid plan.
How much does DocuViralPro cost?
DocuViralPro has four paid tiers after the free trial: Starter, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Billing is monthly or annual (annual saves 20%), and each plan grants a monthly minute budget and a maximum per-video length. Prices, minute allowances, and feature comparisons are on the Pricing page, and coupon codes can be applied at checkout for additional discounts.
Are the videos watermarked?
Every free video plays as a watermarked preview in your library. Paid plans and one-time minute packs remove the watermark and let you export the finished MP4. The watermark is a preview overlay only — it is never burned into an exported file.
Can I use the videos commercially, like monetizing on YouTube?
Yes. You own every video you generate and can monetize it on YouTube, sponsor placements, or any other commercial use. DocuViralPro claims no ownership of your content, and the included SEO pack (title, description, and tags) is designed for YouTube monetization and discovery.
Can I cancel my subscription, and what happens to my videos?
Yes, you can cancel anytime. Cancellation turns off auto-renew, so your paid access continues until the end of your current billing cycle — this is a soft cancellation, not an immediate shutdown. Your generated videos stay in your library and remain yours; after the cycle ends, your account moves to the Free plan and new generation is limited to the free trial minutes.
Getting Started
What is DocuViralPro?
DocuViralPro is an AI documentary video generator. Give it a topic and it writes a fact-grounded script, produces professional narration, creates cinematic storyboard visuals, and generates a full SEO pack — everything you need to upload a documentary to YouTube Studio.
How do I create my first documentary?
Sign in, go to the Create page, pick a genre (or let AI suggest trending topics), enter your topic, choose a target length, and hit Generate. Your documentary will appear in My Videos where you can track progress and export when ready.
Do I need an account?
Yes. Sign up with Google or email — it's free. Every new account starts on the Free plan with a one-time 5-minute trial generation (watermarked preview; full exportable SEO pack on paid plans).
Generation & Rendering
Visual cadence
A new image every 16–22 seconds
Your narration is divided into segments of roughly 400 characters, and every single segment gets its own original cinematic image — painted to match the exact words being spoken over it. In practice, that means a fresh visual arrives about every 16 to 22 seconds.
Nothing lingers, nothing drifts. The picture on screen is always locked to what your narrator is describing, so a 30-minute documentary unfolds through roughly a hundred distinct scenes instead of a handful of recycled frames. It works exactly this way on every plan, including Free — longer videos simply earn more images.
How does generation work?
DocuViralPro uses AI in multiple stages: first it writes a full documentary script tailored to your topic and genre, then generates natural-sounding narration audio, and finally creates cinematic storyboard images. For longer videos, the script is written in sections to maintain quality.
How long does generation take?
Typically 5–15 minutes depending on video length. Shorter videos (1–3 min) finish faster. You can leave the page while it processes — everything happens server-side, and we'll email you when it's ready (if you have notifications enabled).
What genres are available?
Historical, Scientific, Nature & Wildlife, Space & Cosmos, Technology, Civilizations, People (biographies of notable figures), True Crime & Unsolved Cases, Politics & Religion, and Anything (creative freeform). You can set a default genre in Settings so it's pre-selected every time.
How often do the images change in my documentary?
Your narration is split into segments of roughly 400 characters, and every segment gets its own AI-generated image matched to what the narrator is saying at that moment. In practice that means the visuals change about every 16 to 20 seconds. This is identical on every plan, including Free — longer videos simply get more images.
Why did my video get 'stuck'?
Occasionally a processing stage takes longer than expected. If a video shows no progress for 5 minutes, it's marked as timed out and will automatically resume within the next 5-minute cycle. You can also use the reload button to retry.
Can I regenerate a video?
Yes — click the reload icon on any video card. This overwrites the current script, narration, and visuals with a fresh generation. It does not count against your monthly limit again.
Is the Script Editor available on the Free plan?
No — the Script Editor is a paid feature. It requires a Starter plan or above and is not available on the Free plan. Free-plan users who open the Script Editor will be directed to the pricing page to upgrade.
Can I write my own script?
Yes — this is a paid feature, not available on the Free plan. Pasting your own script requires Silver or above, and the Script Editor requires Starter or above. When you select the 'Anything' genre, you have two options. You can paste your own script directly into the script box on the Create page, or you can click the Script Editor button to create and edit a script from scratch — you can even have AI generate a starting draft and then refine it. The narrator will read exactly what you write, word for word. An estimated video duration is calculated live from your character count (~900 characters ≈ 1 minute of narration) and displayed as you type, with a warning as you approach your plan's length limit. You can exceed your plan's minute cap by up to 1 minute, but no further.
Plans & Billing
What are the plan differences?
Free is a one-time 5-minute trial generation — up to 5 min per video, watermarked preview, and SEO preview only — with all styles, voices, and music unlocked. Starter ($12/mo) adds 40 minutes/month up to 10 min per video with downloads, thumbnails, and the full exportable SEO pack. Silver ($24/mo) includes 100 minutes/month up to 20 min per video with the Anything genre, viral topics, and the full exportable SEO pack (Starter and above also include the full pack; Free is preview only). Gold ($49/mo) includes 210 minutes/month up to 30 min per video and priority rendering. Every plan, including Free, has all 37 narration voices unlocked — 7 standard voices and 30 Chirp HD voices. Platinum ($99/mo) offers 480 minutes/month up to 60 min per video with the highest priority.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes — cancel from Settings or the Subscription page. You keep access until the end of your current billing cycle, then revert to the Free plan.
Do unused minutes roll over?
No. Unused minutes do not roll over to the next billing cycle. Your monthly quota resets at the start of each new billing cycle. Minutes are deducted from your allowance at creation time based on the video's target length, and any unused allowance expires when the cycle ends.
What happens if I downgrade?
Your existing videos stay in your library. You'll move to the new plan's limits at the start of the next billing cycle.
Exports & Uploading
How do I export my documentary?
Exporting the finished MP4 is available on any paid plan (including one-time minute packs). Once a video is completed, an Export button appears on its card. Clicking it renders a slideshow video in your browser combining the narration audio and storyboard images. On most modern browsers (Chrome, Edge, Safari) the file exports directly as an MP4. If your browser only supports WebM recording, you'll get a .webm file with a one-click Convert to MP4 button right next to the download. Free videos play as a watermarked preview — upgrading to any paid plan unlocks the export.
What video format will my documentary be in?
DocuViralPro exports in MP4 (H.264 video + AAC audio) whenever your browser supports it — this is the format YouTube Studio prefers. If your browser doesn't support direct MP4 recording, the export falls back to WebM, and a Convert to MP4 button appears so you can get an MP4 without leaving the page.
How does the Convert to MP4 button work?
If your initial export produced a WebM file, click Convert to MP4 to transcode it entirely in your browser. The conversion uses FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly — it downloads a small (~30 MB) FFmpeg core on first use, then converts your video to H.264/AAC MP4 on your device. No file is uploaded to any server, and the resulting MP4 is ready to upload directly to YouTube Studio.
Why did I get a WebM file instead of MP4?
Some browsers — particularly Firefox and older versions of Chrome — don't support MP4 recording via the MediaRecorder API. In that case the export produces a WebM file. Just click the Convert to MP4 button that appears next to your download to get a YouTube-ready MP4. On Chrome, Edge, and Safari the export produces an MP4 directly, so no conversion is needed.
Can I upload directly to YouTube Studio?
Yes — every paid plan includes a YouTube Studio link. Click 'Open YouTube Studio' to launch YouTube Studio with your SEO title, description, and tags ready to copy and paste. Free videos play as a watermarked preview only, so the publishing shortcut unlocks with a paid plan.
What is the SEO pack?
Every documentary comes with an SEO-optimized title, a description with hashtags, and comma-separated tags — all tailored to your topic and designed to help your video rank on YouTube.
How long does exporting a video take?
Export time depends on your video's length and your device's processing power. A typical 5-minute documentary takes 2–5 minutes to export, while longer videos (20+ minutes) can take 10 minutes or more. The export renders in your browser, so faster computers finish more quickly. Keep the tab open until the download is ready.
Why can't I leave the page during export?
The export renders in your browser using your device's resources. If you navigate away, refresh, or close the tab, the rendering progress is lost and you'll need to start over. The AI generation phase is different — that happens server-side and is safe to leave.
Why is a desktop computer suggested for posting?
YouTube Studio works best when it is opened in a browser on a desktop and functions poorly when opened on a browser on mobile. The YouTube Studio mobile app is not set up at this time to upload video files saved to a mobile device.
Account & Security
Can I change my password?
Yes — go to Settings → Account. If you signed up with email and password, enter your current and new passwords. If you use Google sign-in, you don't have a password with us — manage it through your Google account.
I signed in with Google — can I switch to email/password?
Google authentication is handled entirely by Google. If you'd like to use email/password instead, register a new account with your email and use that going forward.
How do I delete my videos?
Go to Settings → Danger Zone and click 'Delete all my videos.' This permanently removes every documentary in your library. Individual videos can be deleted from the My Videos page using the trash icon.
Can I delete my account?
To fully delete your account and associated data, please contact support and we'll assist you.
